ResLife Christmas!

Christmas is all about community.

For many people, it starts to feel like Christmas when the weather turns cold and the Christmas lights are switched on, however, everyone has different traditions which signify the start of the festive season. This could be eating your first mince pie, putting the Christmas tree up or even watching your favourite Christmas film and for many of us, the festive period is a time to look forward to.

We know that some of our residents are unable to go home for the holidays, some students are a long way from home and will be in Lincoln for the whole of the festive period, and we may have some students who have never celebrated Christmas before which is why we wanted to organise a special Christmas celebration this year as this is the first year we’ve had our ResLife Lounge.

We were so happy to see so many students join us for Christmas Day – the day was amazing, we spent the afternoon and early evening together and enjoyed Christmas crafts, playing games – pool, darts, board games, bingo. We sang karaoke, enjoyed Christmas music, watched the Kings’ first Christmas Day speech and ate lots of lovely Christmas food and just had the best time; it was a great way to meet new people and make friends. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us and for all of the lovely feedback.

Thank you to ResLife for making it an awesome day. Merry Christmas!

We really enjoyed putting on this event and can’t wait to do it all again next year!
