‌‌As students ourselves, the Residence Life Student Assistants understand the strains and stresses of university life. We recognise how easy it is to become overwhelmed during the course of your degree and are here to signpost you to the best services available, whenever you need it.

Here are some useful support options that you may wish to access during your time living with us:

Accommodation Services

Accommodation Services are here to help you throughout the duration of your accommodation agreement. You can get in touch with them through the below methods:

You can find us in one of our 5 receptions located across the University of Lincoln campus, which are open Monday to Saturday.

Advice Service

The Advice Service is an independent service located within the Student Support & Advice Centre.  We offer a free confidential and impartial legal service to all students at the University of Lincoln.

Our advice covers a wide range of areas including housing, employment, university issues such as interruption and extenuating circumstances and much more.

As we are licensed by the Financial Conduct Authority, we are able to provide debt and money advice, and can also help with any welfare and disability benefit queries.

International College

The University’s International College provide a range of in-sessional courses, workshops, and one-to-one sessions which are free and designed to support all international students for whom English is an additional language.

Security Team – 24/7 service

The Security Team is on duty 24/7, 365 days a year. and also act as a source of information and advice, particularly out of hours. The Security Team are based on campus in the Minerva Building but are here for you, whatever university residence you live in. You can call Security on 01522 886062, 24/7, 365 days a year. If you get locked out, or need to report urgent maintenance out of hours then give Security a call.

Student Support

The Student Support & Advice Service is located on the ground floor of the Minerva Building and is a one-stop shop for students to gain access to all of our services and locate other academic and professional support across the University.

The Student Support & Advice team is available to help with student enquiries regarding University systems and procedures, funding, fees and payments, housing, personal support and general advice and information. They can provide practical help, advice and support, resolve issues and concerns, and make referrals to specialist staff if necessary.

Student Wellbeing

The Student Wellbeing Centre is here to offer support, advice or guidance with any challenges or difficulties students may face during their academic studies. Student Wellbeing can support students on a variety of subjects, including concerns around disability, specific learning differences, mental health or medical conditions, as well as anything which may cause emotional or psychological distress.

The Student Wellbeing Centre can also support you to access appropriate academic support should you have a diagnosis or disability that falls under the Equality Act 2010. This can include supporting you to apply for Disabled Student’s Allowances and creating a Personalised Academic Study Support (PASS) Plan with you. In order to access this support, you would need some detailed medical evidence of your diagnosis.

Students’ Union

Lincoln Students’ Union is an independent, student-led organisation run on behalf of all University of Lincoln students. The aim of the Students’ Union is to provide the best possible student experience by providing a wide range of services which put students at the heart of life at Lincoln. Students are able to get involved with sports and societies, develop their skills with volunteering and other employability opportunities, whilst also accessing many other services such as the SU Advice Centre.

The Library

For academic assistance with writing, referencing or research, you can take advantage of the breadth of resources available within our Great Central Warehouse Library – open 24/7 during key times throughout the academic year.
